Where Our Flags Fly

Every FlyAFlag has a story - and our customers are writing them every day. From sunrise fishing tournaments and Fourth of July parades to cross-country RV caravans, tailgate parties, and waterfront weddings, our flags have been part of moments that matter.

This blog is where we share those stories. You’ll see our flags riding the waves, cruising highways, and standing tall at events across the country. Each post celebrates the people, places, and passions behind the poles  - whether it’s honoring service, showing hometown pride, or simply flying for the fun of it.

We hope these snapshots from our community inspire you to take your own adventures further, celebrate a little louder, and keep your colors flying high in every season, no matter where the road (or the water) takes you.

"I am sending you this email because I feel like you need to know this.

I live on Nantucket. I purchased an American flag from you for my husband's boat for Father's Day. We went out in the boat, and put the flag up. We forgot to take it down and then left the boat. The next day we had what we call a "wicked" storm, it may have been a microburst. The winds were intense. So intense that it shredded our America flag at our house.

We then realized that we had forgotten to take the flag on the boat off. We thought there is no way it was going to be there when we returned!

Guess what? It was! And to our surprise not even a tattered flag! It was as good as new!

Now that is one good product! I was so impressed I just had to tell you! I told my husband, I never write to a company about anything I have purchased but I had to write to you! You have one hellava good product!"

Thank you

Susan Dudley

Some pictures capture more than just objects—they freeze a perfect moment in time. This shot from Ben Dalbey does exactly that. Against the backdrop of a glowing sunset, we see three icons of American grit and pride: a restored military ship, a vintage racing Cobra, and the Stars and Stripes flying proudly.

The composition is almost cinematic. The warm tones of the sky spill across the water, framing the historic landing ship tank (LST-325) in quiet majesty. In the foreground, the polished curves of the blue Cobra radiate energy and motion—even while standing still. And rising above it all, the American flag waves, small but powerful, tying together past, present, and future.

What makes this image so compelling is its contrast: steel and horsepower beside still water, fading daylight against enduring symbols. It’s a reminder that pride isn’t just shown in grand gestures, but also in small, meaningful details—a car parked by the river, a flag flying in the breeze, a snapshot that tells a story of history, heritage, and freedom.

Thank you, Ben, for sharing this incredible moment. It’s a picture that doesn’t just show where you were—it shows what matters.
